Your Race Bucket List

Are there races on your mind that you wish you could do one day? A race that has that burning desire but yet getting there and doing it is somewhat out of reach?

I do!

Before I "kick the bucket" some races that I want to do are as follows:
  • Paris Marathon (is this the one ran @ night?)
  • NYC Marathon (next year you are mine!!!)
  • Escape from Alcatraz
  • Kona (no lottery for me. Gotta qualify for this one!)
  • Ironman Canada
  • Ironman New Zealand
  • Ironman Western Australia
  • Ironman South Africa
  • Ironman Brasil
  • Ironman France
  • ...see the trend here folks? An Ironman on each continent
  • ...might have to create Ironman would that be a cold swim! ;)
  • SOS...Survival of the Shawangunks....YOU HAVE TO READ THIS RACE DESCRIPTION....its a good one.
  •  Boston Marathon (but I gotta qualify!)

What races do want to do one day?

  1. American TTT

4 races in 3 days (sprint, 2 olympics, HIM)in the hill country of Ohio

  2. i like this post. i like making bucket lists.
its cool if u do an ironman on each continent!! yay. that would be awesome!

  3. Great post! I want to do the Boston Marathon through qualifying, Ironman Kona and Ironman Clearwater through qualifying, London Marathon and many more races. There are just too many to name!

  4. boston mararthon
    new york marathon
    london marathon
    Canadian death race
    pikes peak
    western states

  5. I'd like to do one of those wife-carrying competitions. They have a world championship and everything.

  6. Escape from Alcatraz Tri
    NYC Marathon
    (Any) Marathon in Greece

  7. I like it! My only comment would be that dude, did you know that Escape from Alcatraz is $400 to enter?? I qualified this year, but won't be racing...I'd rather spend my $400 on an Ironman. If you do it, let me know if it's worth the cash money! :) Good luck! You can do it!

  8. I have a friend who did the Paris Marathon. Pretty cool (ha also did the NY one too). I am volunteering at the mile 24 aid station this year. I would love to do one of those ultra trail runs somewhere beautiful.

  9. I have some friends who have done SOS--it sounds crazy/fun! Wow, you're going to be a busy guy in the next few years.

  10. Yeah that SOS became one of my bucket list races just now! So cool!

  11. Wow...that's quite a bucket list! I actually have no idea really what specific races I want to do. All I know is that an Ironman is sounding kind of tempting, as is an ultramarathon! But, who knows!

  12. Oh yes! Escape from alcatraz, IM Canada, Boston many more you dont have enough space here for me to write! :)

  13. BOSTON, qualifier only! I don't have my eye on a specific Ironman, but one is definitely in my future.
    Your list is awesome!

  14. Nice comment Kovas.

Where's MAN VS HORSE?? COme on - it's got to make the list!!

  15. Nice post!

That is sure going to be a lot of traveling!

I'll have to post a list of my bucket list as well.

  16. Hi little bro,
I am loving your list:) I would put money down on that you end up doing all of them! Happy Wednesday!

  17. Dude

that NYC TRi - is it LTF series? I want to be able to say ive swam in the Hudson!..2012? haha

  18. We have some of the same ones:

    Ironman Western Australia
    Ironman New Zealand
    Ironman South Africa
    Vineman 70.3
    Maraton du Medoc
    Comrades (uphill year)
    The Relay
    Triple T
    Boston Marathon
    Kona, of course :)

  19. I don't have a race bucket list... Really, I would love to go to Kona (lottery for me) and Boston (only through BQ), and whatever race strikes my fancy in between!!! SOS looks crazy!

  20. I want your job because you must make a fortune to afford to go to all those countries.

Don't be shy! Leave me a comment!
