Did I just say, "Sweatings?" Yeah, I think I did! Hahahahaha! New word? Eh, no....haha
This is me at the start of my first triathlon, the SBR Sprint in Harriman State Park on June 1st, 2008.
To the finish of my latest triathlon
I went from almost dead LAST in my age group to dead FIRST in my age group in a span of 4 seasons. Took me a bit to get there, but I got there and am excited to embark on the last distance unknown to me, the Ironman.
I have met some amazing people:
To burning myself:
To being bit by a dog:
To turning into a zombie:
It has been fun, and it will continue into the future. Thank you for following!
Happy Training!
The Country of Texas Approves this post Jon!

I caught this right as you were completing the bike. Congrats!!! I will continue stalking until the end... so just a few more hours :)
ReplyDeleteYou have come a long way and it proves that hard work pays off! I'm sure you're running right now - hope those legs feel light as a feather. :) Way to go, Ironman!!

ReplyDelete**sweating**
ReplyDeleteHaha, love it. No problem man, we all new you were going to crush this :) GREAT JOB!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, dude. You've been an inspiration to me all season as this is my first since jumping the sinking marathon ship and tackling the triworld.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first comment though I've been following the blog since i found it in April. I enjoy reading about all your tri's and tribulations since I'm just now experiencing most of them for myself. My second race ever was yesterday (a sprint in Waco 1:21:25/13th in 35-39) and it's super motivating to know that us regular humans can actually make the podium occasionally if we "do the work", as Steven Pressfield would say.
Congratulations from another proud citizen of the Country of Texas.
YOU. ARE. IRONMAN. (tm)
