28 and beyond

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! Wow, turning 28 was great, but I will be 29 in 2 weeks already! (Thank you USAT and you race your age as of December 31st)

Turns out December 12th was also a birthday for two other bloggers. Small world, eh?

Kristin @ Triathlon Dreams celebrated her birthday.
Jason @ Life of an Aspiring Triathlete also celebrated his birthday. And want to see how even smaller the world is? Jason used to live RIGHT down the street from me. He now lives in Texas.

I attempted to run yesterday morning, but up in Northern CT @ my brother's house everything had a thin layer of ice on it and it was POURING rain, so I opted to take it easy instead and eat pancakes and bacon.

This morning I did get out for a 4 miler. It was a balmy 43 degrees so I wore shorts! So great! My legs were still a bit sore from Saturday's beat down.

Tonight I am off to my other swim class. Have a good week everyone!

  4. Pancakes and bacon is never the wrong choice. Never.

I was 34 for most of the year with an Oct bday but had to race under the 35-39 AG. Really sucked every time they wrote 35 on my calf.

  5. Thanks for the shout-out Jon. I still can't get over the fact you live there....super small world.

Balmy 43....ask Jeff and I....freezing cold today in TX and we mean that. 30 for him, 27 for me.

  6. Happy Belated! I would have chosen pancakes over a cold, wet, icy run too.

And if makes you feel any better it's a balmy 20 degrees where I live.

  7. Wait til you hit my AG! Pancakes and bacon sound like the far better choice. I owe you a b-day pastry on our next ride. Let's pray for one non-crappy day soon.

  8. Happy Birthday! Mmm.... hope you doubled up on that bacon! Never a bad choice. We were hoping Hormel would be the title sponsor of IMTX. That would have been awesome! Anyway, a September birthday will jump me up in the age group category for all of my big races next year. Boo!!!

  10. Happy birthday!!!Wish you all the best in life...
