What goes up, must come back down.
My up from this past weekend crashed, and it crashed HARD.
My run this morning was anything but great, in fact it was pretty "crappy.". So enough said about that! Attempted 9 miles (averaging a 9:15 pace.....yeesh it felt like I was running through molasses), got to exactly 6 miles and had to "stop." So enough said about that!
Went to the pool right after work. Things were going pretty well after hitting a couple 1:26's on a 100 interval. Then I ran out of gas and started to get the shakes. Yep! BONK!
I am going to write today off as a "blah" day.
Grab a beer, relax, and reload for tomorrow! Ia m procrastinating the 1:45 that is scheduled on the trainer right now. I just downloaded "clash of the titans" and yet I still can't get motivated to get on the saddle ... ???? F it time to ride.
ReplyDeleteBlah day = Taper ahead..the base already there....Timberman!

We (at least I) have had many days like that...and they are scary, because you think something has happened, and I have lost it all...who knows why...but tomorrow will be a better day.
ReplyDeleteWell, that sucks but it happens. you have been training your butt off. For me it is a sign I need a break, then I come back stronger. Taper madness dude!
ReplyDeleteNo worries, it happens to everyone.
ReplyDeleteyeah.. everyone has bad days.. just rest and recover and don't dwell on it :) (or be like me and cry ahha)
ReplyDeleteYou gotta have lows to have highs right? Today will make tomorrow's redemption all the better.
ReplyDeleteAs for renting out my photographer (Jennie), I inquired her rates and she said that she was priceless - I tend to agree :)
I am sure it will get better!
ReplyDeleteWrite them off earlier and recover. Then tackle them bigger and better the next day.
ReplyDeleteJust relax, it's still time/training done. it all counts. Tomorrow will be better.
ReplyDeleteHi little bro,
ReplyDeleteYour one run was like my whole week! I think that it has been a trend for many of us. Just chalk this one training day as character building and move on:) Good luck with the next workout...maybe you need a day off. Just saying:)
It's just one day..don't let is mess with your head. Tomorrow (or yesterday or today) is another day.
ReplyDeleteI had a speed interval workout yesterday, I got it done, but still had the last 15 minute recovery run....2:30, that is all I could muster in the freakin' heat & humidity. I called it a day. I got in the important stuff..
I agree with Regina, don't let it get to your head. You've done your training and put in your time. You're going to have crappy days and you're going to have good ones, just shake it off!
