But I ran yesterday along the Hudson, not pretty; brrrrrr. Glad not to run today.

To answer your question, those intervals were a quartermieke, it's mentioned in the post. I have started doing that and it is a great way to get the blood pumping. I don't go real hard so I don't really sweat too much. Right before I leave I throw on my layers and I am out the door.

This strategy helps me skip that five minutes of frigidness as I start my run.Mike Russellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14208400200175745583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-272746327697367079.post-55882858523659122152009-12-17T12:00:26.343-05:002009-12-17T12:00:26.343-05:00The next week is going to be brutal, especially in...The next week is going to be brutal, especially in the morning! But I'm planning on hiking this weekend. Nothing like walking or running up and down hills to get you warmed up.Shellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13384272602826948777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-272746327697367079.post-72629998090753757622009-12-17T11:05:34.486-05:002009-12-17T11:05:34.486-05:00I read this book over the summer and I really enjo...I read this book over the summer and I really enjoyed it. The history of the race is so interseting - I agree that it would be great for a broad audience.

Koodos for getting outside today. I couldn't do it with the wind. I jumped on the dreadmill instead and within 5 minutes I was wishing I had gone outside instead :)Kristahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15507731785605937551noreply@blogger.com
